How comic search works and what match confidence means during import.

Step-by-step

Comic search uses canonical metadata from trusted sources plus a built-in seed catalog.

Search matches series name, issue number, publisher, and variant text.

During import, each row receives a match status: Exact, Strong, Needs Review, No Match, or Custom Entry.

Exact and Strong matches can often be accepted in bulk. Needs Review requires your attention.

Custom Entry keeps your data even when no catalog match exists.

•When unsure between variants, choose Needs Review rather than guessing.
